* this documents must be registred by legal autorities.

The following pieces are nécéssary to the approvement request :
- Expérience professionnelle maritime et fluviale
- Curriculum Vitae
- Certificates and graduates
- Professional recommandations or references
- 20 marine survey reports (6 minimum for the three lasts years)
- Identity photo
- Certificate of insurance for marine surveyor activity
- 100 euros for approvement fees

Conditions :
- Work as marine surveyor since three fiscals years
- Do not have been declared in bankroupcy.
- Do not have been condamned for probity or morality

The profession of marine surveyor is incompatible with :
- The profession of boat rental, brooker, shipchandler, shipyard, repairyard except naval architect and ship designer.
- The profession of insuror.
and more generally all activity or profession susceptible to change the independance of the surveyor.

The approvement request is studied by the Fiem’head office for a prelimanary acceptation. This preliminary approvement must be confirmed during our annual comitee The surveyor is invited to present himself for the final approvement by the vote of Fiem’s surveyors.
The annual cotisation is 228,67 euros per year.
